This well-established and long running lecture programme provides a space to explore the work of a variety of choreographers, past present and future. Taught by Dr Agnes Ness, this is a different approach to our central belief that dance is for everyone; it is so important to communicate the theory and history of this art, just as we work to further its place in our community now.
Dr Ness trained in dance in Edinburgh and Glasgow and has worked in theatre and educational television. She has an MA Degree in French and History of Art at Edinburgh University, teaching there in the History of Art Department and the OLL for many years. She has been teaching our Dance Makers programme since 2010.
You can join her for Dance Makers on Friday mornings, from 11:30 till 13:00.
Supported by our Residency Programme, Dance Makers is an important part of our work in providing accessible dance to everyone in our local community. We need your help to continue this work, and if you want to lend a hand now you can call us and sponsor us.
