Courses
Build your skills and technique over a full term. You can join a course up to the third week of term. Courses can be paid for in two instalments — please ask our Front of House team for further details.
Classes
Want to stay flexible? Many of our courses are also available to book as individual classes. Booking in advance is highly recommended. 10-class passes* are also available, and can be used to book any class throughout the term (except classes with a musician) subject to availability. Just choose the ‘Ten Class Pass’ option when booking your class.
Workshops
Whether you’re new to dance or a seasoned professional, our workshops give you the chance to try new styles or hone your craft, delivered by both Dance Base and guest teachers.
Professional Classes
Dance Base offers weekly classes for the professional dance community to come together. Classes and workshops are offered at a subsidised price for professionals and graduates. 10-class passes are also available for professional classes. These are specifically for professional classes, and cannot be used for public classes.
*A 10-class pass is not locked into any specific class, but weekly booking into the class of your choice is still required. You can use it to book into the same class each week (subject to availability), or use it to attend a variety of our classes that are available as drop-ins. 10-class passes are valid for one year from date of purchase.

Cancellations and refunds
No credits or refunds will be processed for sessions which have already taken place as this information is collected to calculate teacher income.
Please note, our teachers are responsible for finding suitable cover for their classes in the event they are unable to teach themselves for any reason. We are unable to offer credit for the reason of teacher cover, except within our general cancelation terms, or with permission from the teacher responsible for the class.
If Dance Base or the class teacher is required to cancel class(es) for any reason:
We will inform everyone booked onto the class(es) as soon as possible, by phone and/or email. Please ensure your contact details with us are up to date.
Courses – We will provide a part refund to cover the cost of the cancelled class. Please note, we are only able to issue one refund per transaction on our booking system, so all course refunds will be processed at the end of the term. You can opt for Dance Base credit to your account instead of a refund, which you will be able to use earlier – please just let our bookings team know if you’d like this option.
Classes and Workshops – We will refund the full amount paid back to the original method of payment. For customers using one credit from a 10-class pass we will return that credit to your pass.
If you need to cancel for any reason:
Courses – All courses are non-refundable. If you let us know before the third class of a course that the class is not right for you, we can either offer to exchange your booking to an alternative course (subject to available space and any price differences being paid) or we can apply the cost of the remaining classes of the term onto your account as Dance Base credit for future bookings.
Classes – If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice for a class, we will offer Dance Base credit for the cost of the class or an exchange to an alternative class. For customers using one credit from a 10-class pass we will return that credit to your pass. For any notice of cancellation closer to the class, we will only be able to offer a credit or exchange if we are able to refill the space in the class.
Workshops – All workshops are non-refundable, but Dance Base credit will be issued if you notify us at least 24 hours before the workshop.
Credits
Please note that Dance Base credit to accounts and 10-class pass credits will be valid for one year from date of issue.
To use Dance Base credit when booking online, please use the ‘Mindbody Login’ link on the top right of the webpage to access our full booking site and it will be available to use on the payment page.
Late entry
Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time for your class, as latecomers may not be admitted. Refunds cannot be issued for missed class(es) due to lateness.
Our standard late entry policy is up to 10 minutes into a class, or at the teacher’s discretion. The final decision to admit a latecomer to a class lies with the teacher.
Age
Unless otherwise noted, all Dance Base classes are for people aged 14+.
