Terms & Conditions

Dance Base hosts classes from some of the country’s finest teachers. Our teachers work independently while we provide them with studio space, ticketing and marketing services.

Cancellations and refunds

No credits or refunds will be processed for sessions which have already taken place as this information is collected to calculate teacher income.
Please note, our teachers are responsible for finding suitable cover for their classes in the event they are unable to teach themselves for any reason. We are unable to offer credit for the reason of teacher cover, except within our general cancelation terms, or with permission from the teacher responsible for the class.

If  Dance Base or the class teacheris required to cancel class(es) for any reason:

We will inform everyone booked onto the class(es) as soon as possible, by phone and/or email.  Please ensure your contact details with us are up to date.

Courses – We will provide a part refund to cover the cost of the cancelled class. Please note, we are only able to issue one refund per transaction on our booking system, so all course refunds will be processed at the end of the term (for Spring term 2024, after 30 March 2024). You can opt for Dance Base credit to your account instead of a refund, which you will be able to use earlier – please just let our bookings team know if you’d like this option.

Drop-in classes – We will refund the full amount paid for drop-in bookings back to the original method of payment. For customers using one credit from a 10-class pass we will return that credit to your pass.

One-off workshops – We will refund the full amount paid.

If  you  need to cancel for any reason:

Courses – All courses are non-refundable. If you let us know before the third class of a course (for Spring Term 2024, this would be all classes in the week of 22 January) that the class is not right for you, we can either offer to exchange your booking to an alternative course (subject to available space and any price differences being paid) or we can apply the cost of the remaining classes of the term onto your account as Dance Base credit for future bookings.

Drop-in classes – If you cancel with more than 72 hours (3 days) notice for a drop-in class, we will offer Dance Base credit for the cost of the class or an exchange to an alternative class. For customers using one credit from a 10-class pass we will return that credit to your pass. For any notice of cancellation closer to the class, we will only be able to offer a credit or exchange if we are able to refill the space in the class.

One-off workshops – All workshops are non-refundable, but Dance Base credit will be issued if you notify us at least one week before the workshop. For cancellations between one week and 48 hours before the workshop, Dance Base credit will only be issued if we can resell the class place.

Please note that Dance Base credit to accounts and 10-class pass credits will be valid for one year from date of issue.
To use Dance Base credit when booking online, please use the ‘Mindbody Login’ link on the top right of the webpage to access our full booking site and it will be available to use on the payment page.

Late entry

Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time for your class, as latecomers may not be admitted. Refunds cannot be issued for missed class(es) due to lateness.

Our standard late entry policy is up to 15 minutes into a class session however this may vary. The final decision to admit a latecomer to a class lies with the teacher.
