For 2024’s Parkinson’s Awareness Month, we’re celebrating with something incredibly special from our Dance for Parkinson’s community here in Edinburgh.
Last Autumn, we came together with filmmaker Lucas Chih-Peng Kao to make our first Dance for Parkinson’s dance film. We’re delighted to premiere ‘When We Dance’, a collaboration between people living with Parkinson’s, their families, friends, carers, our volunteers, and a team of professional artists.

Dance for Parkinson’s classes have been taking place at Dance Base since 2010. Since then, we have grown a wonderful community both in Edinburgh and across Scotland. Our classes bring together people living with this neurological condition through dance, movement, music, and creativity.
