Dance Base is a charity. Help us to continue supporting dancers, communities and the Scottish dance sector.
This year, we:
- Delivered specialised classes to 566 people with neurological and mental health conditions, and people who are often excluded from participation in the arts;
- Supported 1,500 professional dance artists;
- Showcased 170+ live dance performances to 6,500+ audience members; and
- Brought public classes to 4,600 people.

Why we need your help now
Dance Base has not had a funding increase in over 10 years. For us, this amounts to a real terms funding cut of almost 30%. With ongoing cuts to public funding and the cost of living crisis, the pressure on arts organisations like Dance Base has never been greater. By supporting Dance Base, you are helping to safeguard the future of dance in Scotland, enabling us to continue providing essential opportunities for creative expression, health, and community connection.
