Ballroom encompasses the many partner dances popularly danced in, well, ballrooms! These include Waltz, Cha Cha, Quickstep, Tango and many, many more.

If you have mastered your steps in Social Ballroom Improvers why not take it to the next level? In our relaxed class we will help you increase your dance vocabulary, improve your technique, confidence and introduce Tango, Foxtrot and Rumba. Have fun dancing with your partner and see some of your new moves on Strictly!

Please note: booking with a partner is required. All prices shown are per person, so both individuals in the pair will need to book a space. If you are booking for both of you at once, we recommend using the ‘Mindbody login’ link on the top right of our webpage and logging in to our full booking site to book both places - please provide the full name of your partner by selecting that you are booking “for somebody else” when booking their space.

Please wear comfortable clothing and either a flat-soled dress shoe or shoes with a low, block heel.

Meet the Teachers

Marina Delicata

Marina started Ballroom and Latin American dancing at the age of 3 and was in her first competition at 4 ½ years old. She started training in Edinburgh but by the age of 8 was also making weekly trips down south for competitive training. She went on to win Scottish, British and European juvenile and junior championships in both Ballroom and Latin American.

After deciding to stop dancing professionally Marina went on to study Musical Theatre and choreography. Marina has been teaching Social Ballroom and Latin American with Dance Base for several years. She gets great enjoyment from seeing people dance around the floor but more importantly enjoying themselves. Marina also teaches in Italy, choreographs children’s theatre groups, pantomimes and teaches private lessons. She also works with engaged couples choreographing first dances to their specially chosen music.
