Adela Ramos

Adela is a traditional Flamenco dance artist who co-leads performance company Fab Flamenco with Flamenco singer Iván Ramos “El Pumu”.

Having lived and danced in Seville for most of her life Adela consolidated her understanding of flamenco culture and dance with the Cuadro Flamenco Emilio Salazar and subsequently worked extensively in the Tablaos of Sevilla.

Developing a cross-cultural relationship, Adela combined her Spanish working and cultural life with performances and commissions in Scotland at the Queen’s Hall, Tramway Theatre Carnegie Hall and the Edinburgh Lyceum Theatre Company.

Adela has appeared in numerous films produced by Las Bellas Artes (Madrid), Arganda del Rey Theatre, and Edinburgh Festivals. She has lectured in Flamenco at the University of Sevilla, is currently creating new work alongside sharing her artistry, leading classes at Dance Base in Edinburgh.
