

Skye is an Australian-born, Scottish-based artist, performance-maker & educator. Her practice navigates the edges of dance, drawing upon somatics, contemporary performance & politics of real life. She's practised contact improvisation since 1994 and co-established the first CI classes in Edinburgh in 1998/9.
Skye has collaborated on multiple creative projects including with: Curious Seed; Janis Claxton Dance; Jo Fong; Derevo; Tess Letham; Imaginate & co-curator with Something Smashing. Her recent work ‘into Flesh’ is an international co-production with Khamlane Halsackda & premiered Sweden & Scotland Sept ’23. She was a recipient of #LoveDanceScotland Recovery Bursary 2021 + has twice been invited to Iran to co-devise dance-theatre with British Council/ Fadj International Festival. She was Movement Director with National Theatre of Scotland and has worked in community learning contexts with people of all ages & abilities, including: University of Edinburgh; Sense Scotland; Paris Summer Academy; & War Child. Skye is an Associate Artist with Starcatchers; a certified Infant Developmental Movement Educator (The School of Body Mind Centering); & graduated as a Feldenkrais practitioner in 2022.
