Born in Quimper,France, Constant Vigier started ballet at the Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison.
He graduated from Paris Opera Ballet School and furthered his training at the school of the Hamburg Ballet.
Through his career, Constant danced with the Hamburg Ballet, Tivoli Copenhagen and Scottish Ballet.
He performed John Neumeier's classics (The Lady of The Camellias, Nijinsky, A Midsummer Night's Dream...) as well as works from choreographers David Dawson, Crystal Pite, Christopher Bruce, Rudolf Noureev, Christopher Hampson...
Constant delved into choreography under the mentorship of John Neumeier, presenting his first piece for the evening of the Hamburg Ballet Young Choreographers in 2012.
Since joining Scottish Ballet, Constant has created a number of works as an independent choreographer. These include creations for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Cadences Festival in Arcachon, France.
He was selected to represent Scottish Ballet at the “Tell Tale Steps” Choreographic Lab organised by Northern Ballet in Leeds, led workshops for the Paris Opera Ballet School Summer Intensive and created works for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as well as London Studio Centre’s IMAGES Ballet Company.
Constant ventured into the digital realm, showcasing his creative talent through projects featured on prominent platforms like Nowness and the BBC, reaching audiences across diverse mediums.
Since 2022, he teaches ballet at Hamilton Theatre Arts, in Glasgow.
