About the Class

Using songs, play, rhythm and live music, children and their grown-ups will be encouraged to move freely and expressively in this fun and energetic class.
Working together with your child, you’ll stretch and spin, bounce and fly side by side, helping young dancers to build important skills such as coordination and confidence in a creative and imaginative way.
Meet the Teachers
Jo Jeffries
She grew up in the capital and has delivered an extensive range of sessions in Edinburgh throughout her career, from age 0 upwards, including the Early Years Expressive Arts module to students at Moray House, Edinburgh University.
Since 2018, she has been co-director of Edinburgh Youth Theatre, which has continued to engage young people throughout 2020/21.
Her passion for working with children and families shines through in every class as does her joy for playing the fiddle and musical tours by cycle or canoe!
How to prepare
Dance n Play is very active. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that both you can move easily in.
There is limited space to store your pram/buggy in the main foyer. The main reception area is always staffed, but we advise that you bring any valuables in with you to the studio.
