Join accomplished art historian, Agnes Ness, for an insightful lecture series exploring the works of choreographers past, present and future—across genres. You'll watch excerpts of dance pieces and explore historical documents and interviews. No previous knowledge required. All welcome.

Meet the Teachers

Agnes Ness

Agnes trained in dance in Edinburgh and Glasgow and has worked in theatre and educational television.

She did an MA Degree in French and History of Art at Edinburgh University and taught there in the History of Art Department and the OLL for many years.

Agnes' interests are travel, reading and of course dance and she is a member of Dance Base's Golden class. She has also been presenting classes on Dance Makers at Dance Base since 2010.
