Teacher: Bex Hunt

Originally a modern response to Ballet, Contemporary is a global dance movement that incorporates a wide range of styles and practices. It is characterised by its use of space, floorwork, breath and creative expression.

At Dance Base our classes feature Cunningham, Release, Flying-Low, improvisation and more.

Join Bex Hunt for this Intermediate Class suitable for dancers looking to challenge their technique in a fast paced 60minute session. The class includes a warm up, limbering, technical center practice taken from a blend of Cunningham, Graham and Release Techniques with travelling and floor work.

Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bare feet. Don’t forget to bring your bottle of water!

This class will be participating in our annual Christmas show!

How to prepare

Wear comfortable clothing. Participants usually dance in their bare feet, but soft dance shoes, such as a soft ballet or jazz shoe may be acceptable.

And don’t forget a bottle of water!

As we move into the colder months of our changeable Scottish weather, please wear layers to the class to keep sufficiently warm
