Thania Acarón

Thania is an active performer, choreographer and dance movement therapist, currently pursuing a PhD as part of Interdisciplinary Approaches to Violence Programme at the University of Aberdeen. She is currently a part-time lecturer and clinical supervisor at the MSc Programme in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at Queen Margaret University.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Thania has an M.A. in Dance Education from New York University, and is a registered clinical supervisor and dance movement therapist in the US and UK. Thania teaches workshops internationally in contemporary release technique, dance/movement therapy, creative violence prevention and is adoring her experiences in Scotland.
