Residency 21 - 25 November

Mamoru Iriguchi

Mamoru Iriguchi (Lead Artist) will work with his collaborators on R&D of “Eaten”, a performance piece for families about food.

The project playfully explores what ‘eating’ and ‘being eaten’ mean in nature as well as on our dining tables. Eaten is particularly interested in the act of being eaten, a generous act to offer one’s body (wholly or partially) for consumption by others. By taking multiple roles of the eater, the eaten and many others in-between, Mamoru asks children and grown-ups what we should and shouldn't eat. And who should and shouldn't eat us.

Mamoru is a performance maker and theatre designer based in Edinburgh with a degree in zoology.
