Lucy Ireland

Lucy Ireland trained at the Dance School of Scotland and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating with a BA in Modern Ballet. In her final year at the RCS she undertook a company placement with Scottish Ballet, as well as being awarded a scholarship from the Veronica Bruce Memorial Trust. After graduating, Lucy was awarded the Dancers Emerging Bursary Scheme 2012/2013 at Dance Base and has since worked with many companies and choreographers as a freelance dancer: Scottish Opera - 'Ariodante' choreographed by Kally Lloyd-Jones, David Hughes Dance, Alan Greig Dance Theatre, Errol White Company (Evolve Apprenticeship), Michael Clark Company - The Barrowlands Project, a featured dancer in the film 'Sunshine On Leith' choreographed by Rosie Kay and Arthur Pita, and projects with Lewis Normand, Thomas Baylis, Emily-Jane Boyle, Clare Hughes and Matthew Hawkins.
