Linda Skakel

A seasoned dance artist, bringing a wealth of experience to teaching and performance
Trained professionally in all the major forms of Flamenco in Jerez Andalusia, she has studied with legendary Flamenco artists & choreographers and continues to hone her craft during frequent return visits. She remains current with the broad spectrum of Flamenco today, working with both traditionalists and innovators.

Additional training includes Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary & Classical Spanish dance.
Linda introduced the elegant, demanding form of Flamenco with
Bata de Cola (dresses with trains) to advanced students of Flamenco in Scotland.
Founding member of Tribu Flamenca she,is passionate about bringing the art of Flamenco to a wider audience.
Body of work includes numerous collaborations, educational projects and choreographies including Scottish Opera, The Lighthouse and The Space, amongst others.
