Jane Bell & Marina Delicata

Jane came to Dancebase in 1994 following an extensive career in training, qualification and teaching of dance. Trained originally at stage school and then at teacher training college, Jane holds a Teaching Diploma and also gained dancer and teachers qualifications in RAD and ISTD, in ballroom, latin, ballet, tap, jazz and national dance. Jane has taught, choreographed and trained thousands of dancers - from beginners to professional levels. This wide experience includes choreographing both for stage and film productions to first dances for weddings. Jane's classes have core aim of teaching couples to be able to to lead and to follow - to dance with any partner - which is the base of all dances. She also teaches private lessons. This all with the object of enabling everyone to experience the life enriching skill which is dance.

Marina started Ballroom and Latin American dancing at the age of 3 and was in her first competition at 4 ½ years old. She started training in Edinburgh but by the age of 8 was also making weekly trips down south for competitive training. She went on to win Scottish, British and European juvenile and junior championships in both Ballroom and Latin American.

After deciding to stop dancing professionally Marina went on to study Musical Theatre and choreography. Marina has been teaching Social Ballroom and Latin American with Dance Base for several years. She gets great enjoyment from seeing people dance around the floor but more importantly enjoying themselves. Marina also teaches in Italy, choreographs children’s theatre groups, pantomimes and teaches private lessons. She also works with engaged couples choreographing first dances to their specially chosen music.
