Federica Esposito

Federica holds a BA in Foreign Languages and Cultures and graduated from Modem Studio Atelier, a professional contemporary dance course run by Compagnia Zappalà Danza (Italy), in 2004. Since then she has worked with a number of companies including Compagnia Zappalà Danza (IT), Legitimate Bodies Dance Company (IRE), Compagnia Pareri Variabili (IT), Animated State Dance Theatre Company (IRE), Teatro Stabile di L'Aquila (IT), Cie Eco (FR), Altered Skin (UK), amongst the others. She is currently working with Underhand Dance and Gwyn Emberton Dance (UK). She teaches a wide range of techniques (floorwork, release, partnering work, contact-improvisation, physical theatre, ballet technique, etc...) to students at both professional and amateur level, professionals, disabled and children. She has taught at Viagrande Studios in Italy, Scottish Dance Theatre, Perth and Kinross Council, CityMoves, DanceHouse Glasgow, DanceBase Edinburgh, Enable Scotland, amongst the others. She covered the role of assistant and choreographer for the project “Water and Glass”, run by Peter Royston. In 2014 she co-founded a project-based company called Fuora Dance Projectalong with the colleague G. Montalbano, presenting works at Resolution!2015, DanceLive2014, DIGlasgow, Teatro Libero di Palermo, amongst others.

She is currently working as a performer, dance teacher and dancemaker.
