Anna Noonan

Originally from New Zealand, Anna received her early training in classical ballet under the careful guidance of Karen Macleod. In 2008 she commenced her Bachelor of Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, transitioning into contemporary and choreography. During her time at VCA, she was fortunate to work with choreographers Brett Daffy, Stephanie Lake, Rebecca Hilton, Anna Smith, Wendy Houstoun and Helen Herbertson. Since graduating in 2010, Anna has danced with a variety of small companies and collectives both in the United Kingdom and in New Zealand. She has choreographed her own works, in particular for Dunedin Fringe Festivals and in collaboration with her sister Miriam on ‘Piccolo Cor’ (2012, 2013). Anna teaches ballet and contemporary on a freelance basis to a wide range of ages and abilities. Currently she is really enjoying teaching at Dance Base.
