Mairi Campbell and team will work on Living Stone, the final part of her solo music theatre trilogy, following Pulse and Auld Lang Syne.
Set on a West Coast island and beginning with a creation myth, Living Stone explores layers of human history, legend, and relationship with the land through the eye of an ancient stone. With a combination of music, voice, storytelling and characterisation, Campbell will explore connections between pagan and Christian islanders, those who endured nineteenth-century upheavals and emigration, and those now making the island their home.
