16 - 20 May
In this residency, Jack will be working on a new solo work, Sense of Centre in preparation for its premiere in the Summer.
Through dance, choreography, objects, film and projection, Sense of Centre explores our primal longing and need for home, our increasing sense of loneliness and isolation and the longing for connection to others and ourselves by imagining how the body can be a home and a vehicle to remedy and explore these subjects. In a world that seems to rush by, is fractured and breaking apart, Sense of Centre is a moving and powerful return to the simplicity of nature, the moving body and the importance of belonging and connecting to our world. It is a journey back to the reliability and simplicity of the body. To our centre of gravity. To ourselves. To home.
