Residency 4 – 8 May
Seven Doors will research a performance piece with the working title of Childhood Voices, building on work explored in 2014 Dance Base residency.
Using Fairy Tales and themes related to childhood such as playfulness, abandonment, emotional detachment, Seven Doors will explore how daily voice and movement practice shape the creation of a character and the narrative behind a performance. During this residency particular attention will be paid to the role of constraints and how these mould the use of text, voice and movement and dictate the physicality, voice and story during the development of an original character.
Elena Masoero will collaborate with Sheila Macdougall, Merav Israel and guest artists, throughout the week.
