It's over if he can turn him over

Samuel Burkett

It’s over if he can turn him over is a new work of dance theatre which explores how people who identify as LGBTQ+ and/or as women relate to masculinity in themselves and in others through the lens of the 1990 Wrestlemania VI Championship match between Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior.

Sam Burkett and his collaborators will explore the text and movement language of the piece; looking at how we can relate to and take ownership over the hypermasculine world of professional wrestling.

Company Class | Tuesday 29 Oct | 10.00 – 11.30

A highly physical contemporary class emphasising engaging the brain to trust the body. Through coordination, partnering, and improvisation exercises, we attempt to ‘fry’ our brains to let go and be present in the moment. Suitable for advanced/professional dancers.
