Bonnie and her Splashmob: making a splash as part of Festival 2018, the cultural programme for the Glasgow 2018 European Games!
A synchronised-swimming-inspired splashy flashmob that popped up across Edinburgh during August 2018 at Ocean Terminal, Portobello Beach and Promenade, Grassmarket and Princes Street Gardens.
This delightful multi-generational Splashmob celebrated unity, diversity, floral bathing hats and bloomers and was hilarious dance fun for all the family. The multi-generational dance ensemble included two Dance Base performance groups: Lothian Youth Dance Company, and the critically acclaimed over 60s dancers company, PRIME.
Inspired by Glasgow 2018 European Championships mascot Bonnie the Seal, this Splashmob featured flippers, goggles, snorkels, floatation aids, jazzy armbands and bubbles galore.
