23 - 27 March
During this week, Penny will begin to work with fellow collaborators towards a new screendance work investigating former curling sites across Scotland. Layering interviews with those who used to practice this sport when lochs outside froze with the movement of three dancers, Penny will draw upon her extensive background in contact improvisation to look at rolling and sliding to create a physical vocabulary drawing parallels to the movement of curling stones.
Penny will be joined by Nicolette Macleod who will begin to shape sonic ideas including the heavy granite stones moving across ice, and Alan Paterson together with whom they can begin to consider the angles and framing of a camera alongside choreographic development.
