I Might Not Make It is an adaptive dance performance created by movement artists Sarah Fadel and Liz Strange. Rooted in their lived experiences of crisis and disruption, the work embraces uncertainty as a creative tool.

The piece is designed to shift with circumstances outside the creative team’s control: a performer might cancel, arrive late, or appear remotely, and the show will adapt (hopefully!) without losing its impact.

Through movement, installation, and audience interaction, I Might Not Make It invites people to slow down, reflect on the expectations placed upon them, and witness the evolving relationship between two people often preoccupied with survival.

At its heart, the work is a raw, semi-autobiographical exploration of resilience and belonging, asking what it means to remain curious and creative in the face of instability.

Sarah and Liz will continue developing I Might Not Make It ahead of its premiere in Autumn 2026.
This project is an Unlimited International Partner Award 2025 commission, made possible thanks to funding from the British Council. With thanks to Dance Base, Yaraqa, the British Council, and Manipulate Arts for their previous support.
