Pirita tuisku & Thabo Mokolobate | The Measure of Beauty | Residency

Pirita tuisku & Thabo Mokolobate | The Measure of Beauty | Residency

31 October - 7 November

The Measure of Beauty is a research and development (work in progress) project that explores the impact of global beauty standards on body image and mental health. In the initial R&D stage, collaborators Pirita and Thabo combined poetry, movement, and visual installation to present an immersive, multidisciplinary experience. They are now entering the second stage of development, where they will be exploring deeper ways to foster human connection, with a continued focus on body image, mental health, and the pressures of societal ideals.

This work is supported by the Edinburgh Council Inclusive & Diversity Fund and Dance Base.
