10-14 November
CHADULTS! is a new live performance project for children aged 8+ that explores the meaning and memory of childhood through surreal, playful encounters in the classroom.
Mamoru’s 88-year-old mother easily forgets what has happened yesterday but vividly remembers her childhood, showing how deeply childhood experiences are embedded in our brain. Mamoru, Suzi and Dylan will be Chadults, joining a classroom as strange new “classmates”. They invite pupils to investigate what it means to grow up. Drawing from ideas in history, zoology, and performance, the piece blends absurdity, humour and emotional resonance.
This initial R&D phase will be shaped by a collaborative creative process. We aim to co-create with pupils, using school residencies to test ideas and develop a bold, memorable performance made with and for young audiences.
