Lothian Youth Dance Company | New Work

Monday 17 - Friday 21 October

Together with Lothian Youth Dance company, we will explore the playful exchange between worlds within ourselves and the world we share with others. Letting imagination lead and surprise our dancing bodies, playing with the malleability of self and world and leaving an opening for nonsense, the dance will be a (dis)assembly of mutating parts.

About Molly Danter
From the Isle of Skye, Scotland, Molly trained at London Contemporary Dance School and works as a freelance dancer and maker in the UK and Europe, alongside being a part of Collective Endeavours, a music and dance improvisation collective. As a maker Molly has been artist in residence with The Barn Arts, collaborating with Caroline Dear and has continued the work with The Workroom and Studio Somewhere, creating ‘moss scores’ and exploring a new experimental performance work. Whilst Artist in residence with Atlas Arts and Seall Performing Arts, Molly lead a youth project called ‘Nowhere Art Club’, facilitating the creative voices of young people on the Isle of Skye, leading to creations of dances, films and more. Most happy when collaborating, Molly understands creativity as a collective act and aims to always make space for the voices of people and place to affect and inform the work.
