Fringe Fragments 2025

Fringe Fragments is an industry pitching platform, open to audiences, showcasing fifteen minute excerpts of tour ready performances, each with a five minute artist talk.
In 2025 we partnered with Art Circulation (Canada), Québec Government Office in London and Kultur | lx—arts council Luxembourg, to showcase a range of practices and perspectives by female choreographers from Quebec, Luxembourg and Scotland.

Pain & I | Installation

From artist and performer Sarah Hopfinger, Pain and I is a bold examination of Sarah’s lived experience with chronic pain, exploring the rich complexities of her life and asking ‘‘what can pain teach us?”
Scratch Night | Spring 2024
The Dance Base Scratch Night returned with new works from Adrenalism, Craig Manson, Greg Sinclair, Tess Letham and Yuxi Jiang, showcasing the fantastic breadth of work being made in Scotland today.
This edition was curated by Scottish dance-theatre company Shotput and the evening was hosted by Shotput co-directors Lucy Ireland & Jim Manganello alongside Dance Base Artistic Director Tony Mills.

Live & Direct | Hip Hop Dance Showcase 2024
A vibrant showcase of Hip Hop Dance performance, and the culmination of the Live & Direct Hip Hop Dance Development week!
This live performance featured new works by our Live & Direct Artists, Wayne Chang, Jennifer Cullen, Julia Lau, Joshua Effi and Ursula Manandhar and was hosted by Dance Base Artistic Director Tony Mills.
