Dance for Parkinson's Christina

Dance Base is delighted to announce the launch of Dance for Parkinson's Scotland classes delivered via Zoom, starting Wednesday 13th January 2021. To learn more about these classes and sign up, please click here

We are also pleased to share our Dance for Parkinson's Scotland Facebook page, created for dancers involved in the Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland programme to connect and socialise during these challenging times. Through this page, which is operated in partnership by Dance Base and Scottish Ballet, participants have access to free online videos by Dance Base and Scottish Ballet, in addition to partners Horsecross Arts, Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre, and Macrobert Arts Centre. The classes in this Facebook page can be enjoyed by participants at any time.

Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland – Information for dance artists, musicians, volunteers and participants

As you are aware, Dance Base is keeping all participants, volunteers, and artists updated on changes to classes in response to the COVID-19 virus. We are reviewing guidance daily and in light of recent escalation, and in line with government advice, we have taken the decision to cancel all Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland classes until the situation improves and it seems safe to resume. We, together with Scottish Ballet, have taken this decision to safeguard all members of our Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland community.

We will keep all our dance artists, musicians, volunteers and participants updated of any changes.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you back at class soon.
