Hello from Jim, Morag and the whole team at Dance Base. It’s been an eventful few weeks for us all, but we’ve been buoyed up by the support we’ve received from all of our friends, and the levels of interest and enthusiasm you’ve shown for our efforts to provide a Dance Base experience online.
We’ve learned a lot, and from early next month we’ll be making some important changes to our online offer to give you more choice, as well as allowing us to make things work financially.
In June, we’ll be expanding our range of online classes and trying to replicate the experience of coming to our home in Grassmarket more closely. This will include:
We’ll be asking participants to pay for these in blocks, with an initial commitment of five weeks.
We’ll continue to provide free classes to boost your mood
For those unable to commit to one of the regular classes, we’ll still be providing a daily free class to give everyone the chance to connect with the power of dance.
These will remain a live group experience gathered together and led by one of our talented, experienced teachers, but without the personal attention and progression that the paid classes offer.
You’ve told us that you #LoveDanceBase and we thank you in advance for your support
Many of you have asked how you can support Dance Base during this difficult time. We’ll be offering more options in the coming months, but for now, if you can manage it, please join one of our paid classes when they are launched in the coming weeks, and please spread the word to the people you know.
We’re working on the details of classes, times and costs at the moment, and will be posting all the info you need as soon as that is finalised, so keep an eye on dancebase.co.uk and on our Twitter and Facebook. Meanwhile please continue to enjoy the current programme of online classes and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have feedback or suggestions for us.
