Atlantik 1050
9 Aug 2019
Scotland and Basque Country
Cost and location: FREE, popping up around the city
Choreographer: Jen Wren & Alain Maya
Composer: Amy Geddes
Young dancers from Scotland and the Basque Country will be popping up around the city centre to perform this high energy piece, combining traditional dances and music from both regions into an exciting, twisting, turning piece of foot stomping delight!
Join us for a big stramash (or ‘Jaia’ in Basque) and celebrate two vibrant cultures crossing 1050 nautical miles to share their traditions and create something completely new. Experience the energy of a Scottish ceilidh and be prepared, you might even get to take a turn yourself!
* No need to book for this free pop-up event. Look out for location updates on Facebook and keep an eye out in the city centre on 9th August. *
