Looking good at 20!

Looking good at 20!

20 years ago we opened the doors to Scotland’s National Centre for Dance in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket - an incredible purpose-built centre designed to provide a home for dancers and dance artists and to support the development of dance in Scotland.

A lot has changed recently and last week we fully reopened to the public after the pandemic. This week we’re thrilled to welcome Tony Mills as our new Artistic Director.

We’ll be using this anniversary year to not only celebrate our past but also reimagine our future and be better, brighter and bolder in our support for dance in Scotland. We want more people to dance with us, to watch dance with us and to create dance with us.

In December 2021 we’ll showcase the work from people and companies we’ve loved collaborating with over the past 20 years. We’ll announce our future plans and a fundraising campaign to support our ambitions.

If you’re interested in finding out more about our work please subscribe to our newsletter, and if you’d like to talk to us about a donation to support our future please contact  Emma Pirie, Head of Marketing and Development emma.pirie@dancebase.co.uk
