Do you enjoy moving and grooving to the funkiest of tunes? Would you like to have a really good time getting creative with other dancers? Then this is the class for you!
 
Make Friday the funkiest day of the week by joining us for a fun and social inclusive dance session.
 
Suitable for dancers of all experiences and mobility needs. Support workers are encouraged to join in.
 
Please note that all carers and assistants are required to book a space in the class. Booking is free, please select the Assistant/Carer price if booking online.
 
Classes are available to book from 12.00 on Tuesday 25 July.

Meet the Teachers

Emma Smith

Emma is a Dance Artist, Researcher, and Creative Learning Practitioner based in Edinburgh.

After graduating with a Masters of Education from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS), where she specialised in early years and inclusive dance practices, she travelled as a Dance Artist with Indepen-dance, performing and teaching across Asia, Australia, South America, Europe, the UK, and won the Three Weeks Editor’s Choice award at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018.

In 2015, Emma was one of three Scottish artists awarded with a BBC Performing Arts Fellowship, which she undertook with YDance (Scottish Youth Dance).

How to prepare

Wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

Carer/support workers attend free, but must book a place.

Please call before attending without a booking to check if there is space in the class.

Please bring an extra layer of clothing due to the changeable Scottish weather and as we continue to ensure ventilation in our studios.
