Playful and physical, this momentum driven class will blend release based contemporary technique with influences from other dance styles to develop an articulate and fluid travelling vocabulary.
Using simple placement related exercises to energise the body we will move in and out of the floor, building to longer phrases that focus on dynamic, clarity, strength and an awareness of both our bodies and the space around us.

Pelton’s technique class combine Limon-inspired movement fundamentals with ballet placement exercises and phrase material exploring Pelton’s own lyrical and idiosyncratic movement style.

Principals of alignment, flow, weight and expansiveness play out across the physical material. With the aim to facilitate a space for rigorous training, as well as personal curiosities, Lewis encourages a “do what you need’ atmosphere. Accompanied by live music.
