Classes

Daniel Navarro Lorenzo 30 MARCH - 3 APRIL

For the Autumn term in-studio programme we are introducing Professional Ballet on Fridays, 13:30-15:00 and Professional Contemporary on Saturdays, 13:30-15:00. You can book in to class one week in advance.

In response to the last COVID pandemic, and the impact this has had on the dance sector, our Professional Class will now run on a Pay What You Can basis, with a suggested payment of £5 per 90 minute class. Our Class Programme will be reduced for our Autumn term but we hope to return with a larger array of classes for the Spring 2022. We look forward to welcoming you back to the studio!

Professional Ballet

Classical Ballet Professional Level with Vincent Hantam: Fridays 17 Sep - 10 Dec (*Except Friday 5th November)
Pay What You Can (suggested payment £5)

Join Vincent Hantam each week to invigorate both your body and mind with our Professional Ballet Class. This 90-minute class is for professional dancers and dancers with extensive experience of classical ballet and will celebrate being back in the studio together again, making full use of the space and welcoming our bodies back into a regular practice.

Vincent will focus attention on movements and phrases to strengthen the body and reengage with techniques that we perhaps haven't been able to explore outside of the studio.

Professional Contemporary

This class will be split in to two blocks for the Autumn term:

18 Sep - 30 Oct Daniel Navarro Lorenzo
6 Nov - 11 Dec Tess Letham

Pro Contemporary with Daniel Navarro Lorenzo: Saturdays 18 Sep - 30 Oct 13:30-15:00
Pay What You Can (suggested payment £5)

My technical classes are based on the Limon and Release techniques. I like to mix my classes using both techniques – the Release style allows more freedom of movement while Limon brings more discipline around shape and form. In my opinion, Release is more natural and free and helps me to see the potential of dancers in terms of their movement and dance. Limon gives dancers a more powerful body structure.

Pro Contemporary with Tess Letham: Saturdays 6 Nov - 11 Dec 13:30-15:00

Pay What You Can (suggested payment £5)

Tess’s classes, inspired by David Zambrano’s Flying Low method, will focus on specific movement sequences that explore the gathering and sending of our whole body, moving into and out of the floor with ease and efficiency. Bringing attention to connecting with the whole room and everyone within it, travelling and spiralling together through the space.
