As part of our support for professional aerial dance artists Dance Base are delighted to be hosting a series of Aerial Workshops for professional aerial dance artists, and to offer weekly open studio space for shared practice and rehearsal.

This fee contributes to the upkeep of the aerial equipment
Each Monday Dance Base are providing an open training session for professional aerialists / aerial dance practitioners in Studio 3.
Studio 3 has 2 x 7m high pulley points, plus lower points around the room, suitable for aerial training.
This session is for those working in the aerial sector to train, rehearse and explore. You will need to have experience of working in Studio 3 in advance of coming in for this session. If you have not used studio 3 before please contact Emma@aerialdance.co.uk to arrange an induction to the space.

Join Debbie for a specific Pilates session for Aerialists both on and off the floor.
This is ideal for Aerial injury prevention and conditioning, bringing you some inspiring ideas, thoughts and exercises to keep strong and in top healthy condition!
With over 20 year's experience in fitness, Pilates & over 14 in Aerial Debbie will bring a wealth of knowledge, passionate and some key lightbulb moments to help guide you in the right direction for your training.

Tuesday 28 June | Feel Like Flying - Harness with Chrissie Ardill & Freya Jeffs | 11:00 - 13:00
A 2 hour masterclass in harness aerial dance with 2 of Scotland’s most experienced harness practicioners.
Harness is an aerial skill that is often thought of the closest to dance. This workshop is for both those new to harness and those with experience. Warming up together the workshop will split into 2 groups and look at various harness techniques. It is open to dancers, physical performers and circus artists who have no or very little experience. The second group will be those with harness experience, building choreographic sequencing and skills in the air.
Chrissie and Freya regularly perform in aerial harness from vertical dance to flying from cranes to theatre work.
