Meet the Staff

Jim Hollington | Chief Executive

As Chief Executive, Jim’s responsible for making sure that Dance Base supports the success of dance and dance artists not just in Edinburgh, but across the whole of Scotland.

Jim worked for almost two decades across Asia and Europe for the British Council, supporting international collaboration and exchange for the UK’s artists.

He joined us from the Edinburgh International Festival, where he managed their government and public sector relationships in Scotland and around the world. He’s also the Chair of Creative Edinburgh, which supports Edinburgh’s creative community to connect and collaborate.

After nearly a year working from his bedroom, he can’t wait for the time we can open the Dance Base doors for everyone again, complementing our expanding collaboration with partners across Scotland.
