Lift access to Dance Base reception

Our Bookings and Front of House team is responsible for presenting the public face of Dance Base and for ensuring that all users of the building and of Dance Base resources receive welcoming, friendly and efficient service, in line with Dance Base’s Customer Commitment and Front of House policies and procedures.

The Bookings and Front of House Assistants are often referred to as ‘knowing everything’ that is going on in Dance Base (by customers and colleagues alike), so our team members must have an interest in staying up-to date with all the activities of the many strands within the organisation.

 

We are looking for people who have flexible availability. This could be either for a couple of shifts a week, or for approximately 25-30 hours per week over 5 days - we have a couple of opportunities available and are looking for the right people to join the team more than a specific number of hours you can offer.

Salary: £9.90 per hour

Contract: Casual. Two weeks’ notice of termination by the employee or employer.

Working hours: Hours worked on a rota basis mainly between 7.00am and 10.00pm Monday to Saturday, and occasional Sundays, with some extended opening hours for special events and during the Fringe Festival. The majority of hours will be worked during Dance Base term time with few/no hours during out of term/holiday periods (Easter, summer and Christmas/New Year).

Holidays: Payment for holiday time will be made quarterly

Place of work: Dance Base, 14-16 Grassmarket, Edinburgh. Also infrequently at other locations or from home, as agreed with the Bookings and Front of House Manager if required.
