Juri is a dancer, choreographer and Danceability teacher.
He studied DanceAbility with Alito Alessi, and Butoh dance and theatre with Patrice Guillaumet. He took part in the Turin 2006 Paralympics Games Opening Ceremony and performed in the Tramway last year as part of their “Moving On” pre-conference event with Laura Scudella in “L’Incontro”.
Juri is pleased to return to Glasgow for a second time to deliver his teaching methods. As a disabled person himself, Juri believes disabled people are no different from able-bodied people. He believes we are all different and every person is unique and individual.
This workshop will explore senses, sensations and how we connect with each other not only through listening but with all our senses — but most of all with skin, mind and heart.
Come along and enjoy the opportunity to explore Juri’s teaching methods for yourself.
This course is aimed at professional and community dancers, social work staff, care workers & those using dance and movement in a community setting.
Workshops are practical so please dress appropriately
