PRO WORKSHOP WITH CECILIA COLACRAI (Argentina/Spain)

11am to 5pm @ The Stockbridge House (2 Cheyne Street)

Saturday and Sunday 11am to 1pm Technique Class: Earth Territory
Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 5pm Workshop: Shared Territories

This workshop will aim for a flexible, adaptable and active mind and body. From a connected body we will work in and out from the centre, finding the contact with the earth as a support for travelling into space letting the space going through us at the same time.

We will use different movement techniques such release technique, flying low, contact/improvisation, manipulations...

We will explore the relationship between a body and other bodies, time, space creating a shared trajectory, playing with possible roles in order to accompany, stop or collaborate with someone’s decisions.

We will look for making the exploration easier and from there will develop and enhance the body’s abilities and its imagination. We will try to find to right amount of energy necessary to dance, looking for the source and destination of movement in order to turn dance into communication.

CECILIA COLACRAI
Performer/ Choreographer/ Contemporary Dance teacher

She started her dance studies in Argentina and moved to Barcelona in 2002. She trained with David Zembrano, Jeremy Nelson, Kirstie Simson among others. She is currently working with Compagnie Tournefeuille (France) and Cia Alexis Eupierre/Lapsus Dance as well as developping her own work.
