The provision of care for vulnerable adults and older people can affect feelings of well being and social inclusion. Working in partnership with service providers and carers the Outreach Programme visits adults
in a variety of settings and works to support improved levels of health and well being. Creative movement helps to develop and maintain better co-ordination, mobility, balance and physical stability. Dance can also contribute towards improved mental alertness and plays a valuable part in supporting adults with dementia, stroke recovery patients and adults who simply do not understand Sudoku! As a social activity dance also has, for many people, positive life associations.
Dance is mostly a celebratory activity and taking part in something which brings people together and makes them smile or even laugh out loud can be a great tonic.
With a fully inclusive approach to our work, adults with a range of abilities are encouraged and supported in their participation.
