individual giving individual giving

Individual giving is vital to Dance Base, helping to support many of our community and outreach programmes. If you believe in the transformational power of dance, here are some of the ways in which you can make a real difference to the lives of people from across Scotland:

1) Tell your friends about us – it’s free, and so important to Dance Base’s future!

2) Visit us – drop in for a class, watch a brand new work-in-progress at our regular FREEday PREviews, or enjoy a show during the Edinburgh Festival.

You can even use our studios for your own events, whether it’s a party, a dance class for a Hen Night (burlesque and pole-dancing are very popular!) or a special performance. 3) Donate to us – you can give a one-off gift, or make regular donations via Direct Debit.

To donate by cheque, please make your cheque payable to Dance Base Ltd, and send to Dance Base Gifts, Dance Base, 14 – 16 Grassmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2JU. To download a Giving Form, allowing us to claim Gift Aid on your donation at no cost to you, please click here.

Every single penny that you give to Dance Base is used to deliver our fantastic Outreach work.

4) Become a patron – without our major donors, the Outreach programme would not exist. Our generous patrons have given more than £25,000 a year to help us bring dance to the people who need it most. Patrons visit us regularly, and are invited to all our major events through the year – recently, they met Prince Charles at the Royal Visit, and enjoyed the variety of the Fringe programme at our VIP evening. Some patrons choose to be anonymous, but we can recognize major gifts in a number of ways. If you would like to know more about becoming a patron, and how you can make a difference to hundreds of people, please contact Ben Fletcher-Watson on 0131 243 0773 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
