Steinvor Palsson

Steinvor Palsson was born in Edinburgh of Icelandic parents. After  her classical ballet training she attended the Evening School at The Place in London. She danced professionally for 12 years, performing with the Spiral Contemporary Dance Company, Matthew Hawkins, the Royal Opera and Scottish Opera. Steinvor has taught contemporary dance technique extensively for over 25 years and has been teaching at Dance Base since 1993. She also currently teaches at Dance For All at the Theatre School. Her choreography includes pieces for The Ensemble Group, Dance Base's Off Kilter and Scottish Opera. She holds an Advanced Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dancing and has a PhD in Norwegian fiction.
