Linda Skakel

Linda is a professionally trained Flamenco artist and an experienced tutor teaching all levels at major dance centres throughout Scotland. She has studied extensively with Spain’s leading Flamenco artists, during full-time professional training in Jerez and on regular return visits. Her training includes Ballet, Jazz, Classical Spanish and Contemporary dance. She favours Flamenco Puro (traditional) but has also trained with contemporary Flamenco Maestros. Living amongst the Gitano Flamencos of Jerez.has been fundamental in shaping her philosophy and direction as a dancer. Her work includes many collaborations, performances, educational and corporate projects; choreographies created for Scottish Opera, Dancehouse Professional Co., The Space and is the founding member of Tribu Flamenca.
