Kath Bateman

Kath has been studying Cuban salsa and son with professional dance company Ballet Folklorico Cutumba in Cuba for almost 10 years, and has regular trips to Cuba to update her skills. She has taught at a wide range of national dance events including WOMAD, the Mela, Club Cubana dance weekends, at community activities in Edinburgh and elsewhere in the UK and in salsa clubs. She loves the informality, fun and sense of joy which Cuban dance brings to her life and tries to convey this to her students whether they are total beginners or advanced.
