She has represented her country in worldwide competitions gaining a variety of titles, most notably British, International and World Championships and was presented with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Scottish Dancesport Association. In 1993 she gave up competitive dance and continued to teach whilst studying at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she attained a BA Dramatic Arts.
