We are all waiting around the Base today for the arrival of the Christmas tree(!). Can you believe it? So, in the absence of Mr 'Bah Humbug' Allenby, welcome to a slightly festive d-mail and the first of my guest slots whilst James is away sunning himself in Cape Town (lucky thing).

I am so very excited about kick-starting the festivities this year with Strictly Dance Base on Saturday (any excuse to pop on a nice frock). I believe that there are still some tickets available so do come along and enjoy a few spins around the dance floor to the sound of a 17-piece big band. I'm looking forward to having a go myself; look out for me on the dance floor! read more...
